Myriad Productions Collaborates with the Creator of The Cannon Ball Run

Myriad Productions produced a Super Cars DVD for the Saratoga Automobile Museum. By attaching cameras to the cars, viewers will get an idea of what riding in one of these spectacular cars would feel like. Brock Yates was the driver of the vehicles, while producer, Ralph Pascucci, rode in the passenger seat and video taped each excursion. You can see pictures of some of the cars and our cameras mounted on the vehicles by clicking the thumbnail below.

Trading Olympics Games for Performing Arts!

At every Summer Olympics since Korea in 1988, local producer Ralph Pascucci has been in the NBC control room working on the broadcast. At the 1996 Atlanta Games he was on the air when a bomb exploded in Olympic Park and "changed the program from a sports broadcast to a newscast."

Although the international athletics of the Olympics will be missed, Pascucci has passed on NBC's all expenses paid trip to Athens this time to stay home. This year he'll be involved with the athletics of ballet, and the international sounds of Jazz, Rock and Classical music instead.

Pascucci's Myriad Productions is responsible for video production and projection at both SPAC and Tanglewood in the summer season. For 2004 the ballet at SPAC will feature the 100th anniversary of George Balanchine. The popular music season for SPAC includes the Freihofer's Jazz Festival, Sting and "The Dead" to name just a few. Tanglewood's season includes Yo Yo Ma, John Williams and a Henry Mancini tribute. The Philadelphia Orchestra's three weeks at SPAC will see Marvin Hamlisch, Emanuel Ax and the 1812 Overture complete with fireworks!

Sports are still a big part of things for Pascucci, Myriad provides the scoreboard and broadcast production services at the Pepsi Arena for Siena Basketball, Albany River Rat and Albany Conquest games.

Besides his many Olympic friends one other thing Pascucci will be missing this year is the opportunity to win an "Emmy". Pascucci has received five for his participation at previous Olympic games.

Myriad Productions Brings Video to SPAC!

Myriad Productions has been selected by the Saratoga Performing Arts Center to provide video projection services for the third year in a row. The 1999 season introduced a state-of-the-art video system to enhance the SPAC experience on the lawn. This unique video system was designed by Myriad to integrate cleanly into the existing amphitheater. Four retractable screens located beneath each ramp, afford a choice of two screens for each lawn section. Up to four remote control cameras are used to cover the performances and are operated from a control room back stage.

The system is now a permanent part of the SPAC facility and will be operated for all performances where artists contracts allow. The new system has been well received by enthusiastic lawn attendees for the past two seasons. [12.01.00]

Myriad Productions was again selected by the Boston Symphony Orchestra to provide video production and projection services for five concerts at Tanglewood for the Summer 2001 season. Five Boston Symphony performances were enhanced with video projection for the lawn during the 2000 season.

To present the performances, a temporary production control room was installed backstage in the Koussevitzky Music Shed. This facility is connected to four remotely controlled cameras located at discrete positions throughout the Shed. The video program, directed by Ralph Pascucci in the control room, is then transmitted to two lawn projection systems on the roof of the Shed.
